Galen Molk was born in Corvallis, Oregon. He started acting as a kid by adapting folktales into plays with his small friends. After performing in a neighborhood family theater, high schools and a touring youth theater, he began studying at Southern Oregon University.
After graduating, he joined the acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. There he got to work with Mary Zimmerman, Shana Cooper and many other inspiring theater artists and actors. Ten rigorous months later, he moved to New York City to continue acting and learning.
Galen is passionate about discovering new ways of communicating through film and theater in the pursuit of social justice. He believes in the inherent worth of life, the magic of collective storytelling, and the simple power of making music together around a fire.
